The 2011-2012 St Joseph Workers finished with their two packed weeks of orientation activities in mid-August and are currently settling in to their placement sites. It's been about a month in total since they all met each other for the first time, moved into their new homes, and began the grand adventure that is the SJW experience. Here is a bit about their first weeks as SJWs, told with the help of some great pictures:
Lauren meets Sr. Mary at Bethany during orientation. The SJWs spent part of a day with the SIsters at Bethany hearing stories of their life and work as CSJs.
Ellen shared lunch with some new CSJ friends in the Bethany dining room.
Mary chatting in the Bethany Dining room.
The women of the Joseph House in Minneapolis work together on their community contract. This contract is a consensus statement that the women create together that helps lay out how they intend to be community together over the coming year.
A beautiful group picture taken on the grounds of the Administration Center during orientation. The 2011-2012 women are, starting from the top left, Lauren, Sheila, Alyssa, Donna, Amanda, Elizabeth, Ellen, Elizabeth, Caitlin, Norzin and Mary.
